The Kingdom of God!

.

Chapter 45

.

I want us to look at Matt. 26:27,

"And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink all of it; For this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins."

There is a powerful revelation in this passage that I think the Church has missed. Jesus was sitting with His disciples and He knew what was going to happen to Him. He had told His disciples many times that He would be persecuted, spit upon, and scorned, however the disciples didn't understand what He was talking about.

This evening, as He was at the table with His disciples, He lifted up this cup of wine and realizes that there is a connection between what is in the cup and what He was going to have to go through. He knew that He had to go through a process just like the grape juice, in order to be turned into wine, had to go through a process.

Notice that He said, "Drink all of it!" If you want to be great in the Kingdom of God, you will have to go through a process that will result in you becoming a Son of God. The Church has made the mistake of keeping converts as children. If you are to be a mature Son of God, you can't just take a sip of His wine! You have to drink all of it! One of the problems today in the Church is that most Christians just want to take a sip of Jesus. He said in Matt. 5:6,

"Blessed are they who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled."

Those who are thirsty don't just take a sip, they gulp it down! Even in the Old Testament when the children of Israel were eating the Passover lamb, they were told to eat it all. It is very possible the reason we have seen the Church deteriorate in so many places to the point it is now without power, is because we have left too much of Jesus uneaten. We just want to come and nibble on Him. Just enough to go to heaven. Jesus said in John 6:48-51,

"I am that bread of life. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which came down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."

Part of the reason That we don't go all out for Jesus is because we come to Church full of what is happening in the world and our minds are focused on earthly things and not on God. We should come to Church full of the Holy Spirit and excited to come into the Lord's presence! We also need to be in a Church where the Spirit of God is moving in their service.

That night, as Jesus was sitting there, He realizes that for us to enter into the power that is within this cup, we are going to have to go through the same process that He went through for us.

I want to talk to you about the difference between grape juice and wine. Jesus uses wine as an analogy. Grape juice has very little power or benefits until it is crushed and the juice comes out and you add a little yeast to it and let it set on the shelf for a set period of time. This cause it to be transformed into wine. Wine is alive! There is life and power in the wine.

This is a beautiful illustration of the transformation that Paul talks about in Rom. 12:2,

"Therefore, be transformed by the renewing of your mind!"

You can't have your mind transformed if you don't hunger and thirst for the word of God! If you don't learn to listen to the Holy Spirit teach, you will never grow into the full stature of God. Luke said in Lk. 2:52 about the young boy Jesus,

"Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man."

Jesus, as the Son of Man, went through the same process that we must go through to become a mature Son of God. Heb. 5:8 tells us this about Jesus,

"Though He were a Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which he suffered; and being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him!"

Jesus was under the restraint that His Father imposed upon Him. He could not use His authority as the Son of God during the time He was here on earth as the Son of Man. Jesus said as much in John 5:30,

"I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not my own will, but the will of the Father which has sent me."

Jesus was the perfect example of a man that was totally led by the Spirit of God, even though He had the power to do His own will. When Jesus was in the wilderness, Satan tried to get Jesus to use His own power and authority to do what pleased Satan, however, Jesus used the powerful word of God to resist the devil.

Learning to be led by the Holy Spirit is a process that each of us must go through if we are to become like Him! Not only will He teach you from within but as you listen to anointed teaching, He will bear witness with your spirit. One of the problems we have as Christians, is that if we are fortunate enough to be in the presence of an anointed teacher, we recognize the revelation we are receiving from the Lord but we do nothing about it. We go on to the next anointed teacher to see what he has to say.

This should not be so. When we have studied the word of God and we hear an anointed teacher reveal what the Lord has shown him, it should be a conformation to us what the Lord has been saying to us. Or it should tie together bits of the puzzle that we didn't have. A good friend of mine, Pastor Jay Silva, once told me that we cross pollinate one another. The piece of the puzzle that has been revealed to me can be the piece that you have been praying for. And vice-versa.

Back to our subject of wine. Grapes have to be crushed so the liquid of the grapes can be purified. Jeremiah 48:11 talks about this,

"Moab has been at rest from youth, like wine left on its dregs, not poured from one jar to another" she has not gone into exile. So, she tastes as she did, and her aroma is unchanged."

This is an analogy of Moab to the making of wine. Grapes would first be crushed so the juice would run out into containers and then left to sit for a period of time and then be poured into another jar and left for a period of time so the lees would settle to the bottom and then poured the third time into another jar and left set for a period of time. With each pouring out the wine would become clearer. The containers would be stored in cool places and sometimes in water.

The analogy made here is that Moab refused to be purified in the process of the Lord and the result was that she smelled the same as when she started. In other words, what came out of her mouth was the same old thing and her influence and life were the same. If we refuse to allow the Lord to purify us from one level to another in His Kingdom, we are going to stink.

The whole point that I want to make to you is that anyone who has been called by the Lord to do service for Him is put through this purifying process which will crush us and allow His Spirit to come forth and the more He pours us from one vessel to another the purer we become until we are clear as crystal, even as Jesus is!

Unfortunately, there are many pastors that have refused to allow the purifying process of the Lord to work in their lives and as a result, there is no demonstration of power in their ministry.

On the Day of Pentecost, the world thought that the ones who had been baptize by the Holy Spirit were drunk, but you can't get drunk on grape juice!'When Jesus turned the water into wine, it wasn't grape juice! Those who had been drinking wine all day took note that this was no ordinary wine! I am not promoting wine drinking, but there can be supernatural power released when one is filled with the Spirit of the Lord. There are so many of our churches that are being fed grape juice teaching and not the wine of the word that is alive and active.

Heb. 4:12 says,

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

The Apostle Paul said in Eph. 5:18-19, "18And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit! 18And be not drunk with wine, wherein i

Why are there still churches shut down because of Covid 19? Do the pastors now know what Paul said about the power we have? 2 Cor. 4:3-5,

"Though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ!"

It is Gods desire that we, His children, grow up and become Sons of God doing the things that Jesus did when He was on earth, and even greater things. Because, when we walk by faith in the Lords words, it brings glory and honor to Him. As a mature adult Christian, we can take authority over the works of Satan because he is a defeated foe. He was totally defeated by the Lord God Jesus Christ our saviour and redeemer!

When He left this earth to return to Our Father, He told us this in Mark 16:17-18,

They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. "

These things should be happening in all of our services.

I want to give you a prophecy, from God, Sunday, June 13, 2021, through Pastor Hank Kunneman,

There is a shift of things that is coming. Do not be alarmed when you see some that you thought were on My side betray. Back away! Watch some that you voted for that you thought you could trust, will be exposed with their pants down! Watch, as you will see in this time of dividing, they will begin to turn on one another and point their finger to save their own lives and their own future.

Some, it will be said where are they? But they will not be found for they will run and they will hide. There will be others that will be removed from this earth by their own choosing. You cannot hide, you cannot run, and you cannot resist My justice that is upon the earth at this time.

STOP saying, says the Lord, "When is this going to come?" Get into agreement and declare that it is here!

Listen, if you voted for Joe Biden or if you voted for Donald Trump, which ever you may think that won, the American people at this time demands our constitutional rights! If there was domestic and foreign interference in our election, and there is proof that it did happen, then we demand that we know the truth! The truth will come out and should not be stopped by you politicians because you know what you did!

Whatever side you are on, our constitution demands that it is not about government, but it's about we the people. We have a right to not be under a communistic or a socialistic dictatorship nation. We have the right to have freedom. As a result, we demand that they do the audits and if Joe Biden won the election fair and square, we will accept that. But if he didn't win the election except by fraud, then get him out of the White House!

Bring all of the evidence out and let it speak for itself! If foreign nations were involved in our election process, then let our nation deal with them severely!

Isaiah said to the Lord in Isaiah 25:9,

"When your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness."

It is time for the corruption in Washington DC to be judged. We the people of the United States of America demand it!
